The Slingshots Barcelona The Slingshots were born in August of 2008 with the idea of recalling and recovering the rhythmic energy of deep funk, the warm vocal melodies of soul and the rich instrumental approach of jazz, from its origins until our times, to offer a danceable rich selection of music and sounds, suitable for anyone interested or in love with this kind of style. The band is composed by seven members holding many years of experience through a wide and varied musical career: Jordi Casas: Percussion Eduardo Neto: Drums, Paquito "Mystic Man”: Bass, Víctor Fisas: Guitar, Aleix "Sinteman": Keyboards, Sergi Franch: Tenor and Baritone Sax, Marc Mena: Trumpet, Roger "Fullosoul": Vocals. Altogether they succeed in capturing the style they look for with all the required energy, each adding a personal touch to it, coming from the love they all feel for this music. The influences are basically bands and artists such as The Godfather Of Soul, The Meters, Dyke & The Blazers, Herman Hitson, Eddie Bo, Syl Johnson, Mickey & The Soul Generation, Robert Moore, etc...
