The Kahless Clone Chicago, IL The Kahless Clone is an instrumental band that forges the vibe of dark metal, with the sonic landscape and emotional buildups of post-rock. This project was started by Vito Marchese of the Chicago based dark metal band Novembers Doom, as an outlet for some of the instrumental songs he had been writing. The first EP An Endless Loop was released in March of 2015, and was well received by critics and fans. The release of the second EP titled Our Never-ending Loneliness brings an evolution of sound and songwriting. Some progressive elements have been brought in, while still keeping the dark atmosphere that enveloped the debut release. This new EP shows the return of Ben Johnson, Zach Libbe, and Garry Naples, while bringing in Larry Roberts on bass. Recording and mixing was done at Belle City Sound in Racine, WI by Chris Wisco, who was able to once again capture the mood and atmosphere of the songs. Mastering was handled by Collin Jordan at The Boiler Room in Chicago, IL, who raised the sonic intensity of the tracks. Mario Salazar’s photography was able to visually depict the mindset brought on by the music. The group is currently seeking opportunities for shows and tours to help promote their newest release.
