The Cold Year Salt Lake City The Cold Year is a bastard jazz trio based out of Orem, Utah. The band is comprised of Matthew Skaggs on lead vocals and guitar, Mitch Shepherd on bass and Columbia Jones on drums. Their heavy garage rock foundation is made unique with the addition of gypsy jazz inspired instrumentation and poignant and dark storytelling.
