The Badwills The Badwills Edinburgh The Badwills are an Edinburgh based Italian musical collective, performing a mix of tarantella, pizzica, tammuriata and Italian folk music, blended with sounds from the Scottish, Irish and English traditions. The band has been performing to audiences around Scotland and Europe since 2010, including sold out Edinburgh Fringe and TradFest shows, and headlining the hugely successful Mediterraneo concert series at Summerhall. Their sound conjures nights of furious dancing as well as intimate gatherings of music and stories. Through song, dances and stories, the Badwills open a window on the lights and shadows of Italy and the Mediterranean, luring audiences through dark alleyways, sun-burnt fields and crowded fish markets. Watch the Pizzicarella, the woman bitten by a mysterious tarantula, and join her while she dances her madness away. Listen through a man’s tears on a Pugliese beach, his beloved sailing away to marry another. Meet Neapolitan rebels fighting invaders throughout the centuries, Sicilian peasants rising against their master. And hear the whisper of an Irish girl warning her Italian lover not to get any closer to her window. “Five Stars…not-to-be-missed” Edinburgh Festivals Magazine For more info about the band see http://www.thebadwills.co.uk The Badwills’s tracks Nottamun Town / Lu Rusciu Te Lu Mare by The Badwills published on 2015-11-17T11:45:00Z Beddha Ci Dormi / Cunla by The Badwills published on 2015-04-28T08:55:46Z Pizzicarella by The Badwills published on 2015-04-28T08:39:02Z Tammuriata Nera by The Badwills published on 2012-12-26T15:48:29Z La Brindisina by The Badwills published on 2012-12-26T15:24:32Z
