DoubleScreen is a versatile producer from Dublin whose music ranges from Hip-Hop to Techno & House. DoubleScreen’s atmospheric melodic sound is reminiscent of The Chemical Brothers, Jamie XX and Underworld. As well as DJing all over Ireland, holding several residencies in Dublin City, he is also accustomed to playing abroad (UK, Czech Republic, Greece, Malta) with other projects as well as his own. With an LED filled DoubleScreen mask, his live set is not to be missed.
Initially, DoubleScreen combined melodic electronica with Liquid Drum & Bass and Dublin rap, creating a new sound never heard before! He's been signed to various DNB labels producing original DnB as well as house and techno. He is a great DJ if you want to hear fresh original music produced in Ireland. DoubleScreen has recently finished a collaboration album with 5th Element A.K.A Ger Kellett and & Ryan Lincoln. The album ‘2.0’ was released in 2017 and combines all forms of electronic genres with Dublin Rap.
In 2017, DoubleScreen composed the music for the critically acclaimed documentary: The Truth about Irish Hip-Hop, directed by Gavin Fitzgerald (Conor McGregor: Notorious).
“....a Bonobo-esque sound, an upbeat feel good mix of brass, playful synths, afro drum beats and catchy riffs that will set you in a happy trance. This one is sure to fill the dance floor in clubs around Ireland soon.” -Nialler9 Blog
“He’s more of an engineer than a producer, he composes music rather than just put loops together.” -Ger Kellett on DoubleScreen, District Magazine.
“...a hyper-paced piece that ripples dizzingly courtesy of DoubleScreen, it’s pace is rapid and their’s a determination to drive home what the trio are all about as the plonky beats escalate and hammer down….DoubleScreen destroys it in the most gratuitously enjoyable way to wrap up proceedings courtesy of yet another drum and bass extravaganza.”
