tfomusic Tim O'Keefe Brooklyn Tim O’Keefe is a NYC based composer and sound artist. O’Keefe has scored a variety of feature films and film installations for director/actor James Franco including As I Lay Dying, The Sound and the Fury, and Endless Idaho. He scored the 2016 HBO VICE documentaries Right To Die, and State of Surveillance, the 2017 Lifetime movie High School Lover, a series of artist profile films for the Guggenheim Museum's Tale of Our Times exhibition, and the Raw Craft series hosted by Anthony Bourdain. In addition to composing original film scores, O'Keefe is interested in exploring the sonic space between music and sound design in order to enhance the storytelling power of sound. O’Keefe is also 1⁄2 of the visual music band Daddy with James Franco, who released their album and music film Let Me Get What I Want in 2016. O'Keefe performs live with a focus on hardware-driven sets (analog synths, drum machines, and sequencers), in addition to DJing.
