His style is a mixture of Breakbeat & Trance. The Tears has over a decade of experience in what is known as "vocal breaks" or Neo Freestyle as some refer to it. He also produces other breakbeat styled genres such as eHop (Electro Hop) & Electro. The man behind Tears of Technology produces trance music under the artist persona New Orleans' Dan the Man. Dan hails from the city that care forgot long ago, New Orleans, La. Growing up in a culture rich environment that heavily urban is what attributed to the unique sound of Tears of Technology. When you grow up in a city like New Orleans, things like music are the only outlets you have. Tears of Technology first gained recognition for his independent release of the album "The Soul Never Forgets". Since this release he has appeared on several labels as a remixer such as Jive / Zomba, Island, XYZ, & Live Wire. He has co-wrote songs for London Exchange, a popular 80's freestyle band. He produced an entire maxi single for Casa Records entitled "Lady" by Jim Davis Jr. He has also appeared as executive producer on several releases from his own label 504 Productions. The Tears's compositions are emotional based tunes that come directly from his heart & soul from the top of his head.
