The EP contains remixes by Eric Copeland, Gala Drop, Lucky Dragons, Hhappiness, and Lamburg Tony After an eventful year in Europe, Thulebasen gears up for 2012 and the rest of the world with the "Forever Grinning" EP. Five of Thulebasen’s friends, dotted across the map, have submitted remixes for the six-track EP: Eric Copeland in New York, Hhappiness in Stockholm, Lucky Dragons in LA, Lamburg Tony in Grindsted, and Gala Drop in Lisbon. In February 2011, Thulebasen released “Gate 5”, an album off of which the band toured relentlessly in clubs and at festivals large and small across the continent, from Iceland Airwaves and Roskilde Festival to the local Sejerø Festival. Simultaneously pushing for new potential audiences and reactions, Thulebasen also explored new means and modes for creating live music. The band played at the Danish Pavilion for the 2011 Venice Biennale, for example, and accompanied the multimedia artist Stine Marie Jacobsen for a four-hour audiovisual concert at the Charlottenborg Kunsthal in Copenhagen. "Forever Grinning" is the culmination of these two parallel threads pursued on the road last year: straight-up rock melodies alongside exploration and freedom. These are the two instincts that makes up Nis, Felia and Niels' new music.
