Reviewing contemporary work through the lens of a variety of Black, brown and BEA makers and creators, movers and shakers, Tell Dem is here to offer advice to emerging artists, dissect current affairs, share tips about navigating the industry as artists of colour - and to throw all of the shade.

Episode 3 features multidisciplinary artist Jacob V Joyce, writer & editor Varaidzo, and actor & co-founder of Blacktress UK Cherrelle Skeete. They discuss star signs, whether work by LGBTQIA+ folk is inherently activist, the language around HIV, protecting safe spaces for QTIPOC, and the differences between performance art created by white and Black & brown artists. Jacob V Joyce is a non-binary artist amplifying historical and nourishing new queer and decolonial narratives. Their work ranges from afro-futurist world building workshops to mural painting, comic books, performance art and punk music with their band Screaming Toenail.
