Goldenfields by System of Signs published on 2018-08-16T02:44:18Z Goldenfields is a huge, walled temple-farm dedicated to Chauntea, the goddess of agriculture. Called "the Granary of the North," it is the only reason that many Northerners ever taste soft-fleshed fruit larger than bush berries. Waterdeep and its neighbors consume the temple's reliable output: carefully husbanded grains and dried, oil-packed, or salted foodstuffs preserved in vast storage cellars, vats, and squat stone grain-towers. Farmers, worshipers, and travelers all pass through Goldenfields. The beauty of the landscape belies the difficulty of raising crops. The Abbey's walls need defending, and constant vigilance is required to stave off ruinous weather, plagues and pests, and roving bands of miscreants and plunderers. Though few spend their whole lives at Goldenfields, many look back on the months or years that they spent there as a time of happiness and piece. --- Made with Ableton Live & a Teenage Engineering OP-1 Genre Soundtrack
