Synthwave Tribe Lars "Chief" Willsen Uummannaq From the 80's hardrock & metal era to Synthwave - Heavily addicted to synthesizers - 30+ years ago I was a synth, organ & keyboard player in different hardrock bands and I had great opportunities with great bands. These "Synthwave Tribe" tracks are obviously mainly 80's style and every track are side projects I did in my sparetime. These has nothing to do with hardrock in any way. On the other hand, it does have the same nerve, feel and approach. I mainly used this approach to get new ideas. Most of the material was written when I was in my late teen and early 20's. Unfortunately I lost the ability to play due to issues with my fingers. Slowly and through the years I regained ability to play and invested in my homestudio in the summer of 2021 and after intensive training using Studio One Pro I began re-recording my old material from my od MIDI files which I was fortunate enough to recover after 30+ years. Born in abandoned coalmine Qullissat, Greenland. Grew up in Uummannaq, Greenland. I would like to thank Jim Daneker, the man behind the DX Dreams (for Kontakt) for providing us with the ultimate package of TX816, DX7 - I'm in the infant of putting these sounds in, but what a change and it does affect my mood a lot to have the "the real deal" even though my music if very different and not the stereotype hit-seeking genre - Its a mix and my legacy as a hardrock guy that just love to compose without it having to be exactly that. As I told Jim in one occasion, DX dreams virtually saved my life. All tracks are registered at KODA / N©B Denmark without exception.
