BenKN - Come To Life by Swordpaw published on 2013-01-16T00:49:40Z BenKN is an electro-acoustic multimedia artist who mixes his conspicuously tour-beaten guitar with subtle synths, beats, and organic samples. Formerly a co-frontman for Los Angeles-based indie rock gypsies, Jupiter Sunrise, Ben's solo work augments smart songs with dreamy soundscapes and driving hooks. Ben recorded vocals and acoustic guitar for Come To Life at Swordpaw when the song was just a kernel of an idea. He didn't even have a chorus. We dialed up a fitting 'drum' beat from our 1960's Lowry Organ and hit record, thinking this was just going to be an scratch demo. Ben got busy, but we didn't want to let the song go, so we took it upon ourselves to make a few edits and add electric guitar, bass, keys, and percussion.
