I am what I am. It is what it is! Acceptance is a necessary step to transcendence. To be Human is Divine. No seeker no sought, for our identity is beyond thought. The I am is certain, The I am this or that is not! Looking in your eyes with eyes that aren't mine anymore, your beauty blooms as I let go. Beyond judgements and fantasies, this beloved is our reality. - Swami~Harami (the sinning Saint) isn't a name, but rather a statement about judgments and duality. I assume that name, to have you take a moment to witness how mental construct shapes reality... For beyond those constructs of Good and Bad lays a field of acceptance, peace and harmony. Hit play, lets set our minds free. Cause To be Human is Divine and I request that you take a moment to float in nectars holy. NADHa BRAHMA VISHVA SWAROOPA. NADHa HI KARMA, NADHa HI DHARMA. Nadham Nadham Sarvam Nadham Sound is the creator, the form of this universe. Sound is Karma, Sound is Dharma. All is Sound. Sound is Light, Light is Sound It’s an interesting journey to walk this earth with the name Swami Harami. Swami Harami loosely translates to the “sinning saint” or more precisely to “the bastard that knows HimSelf”. It is a name that points to hypocrisy that exists in judging things as holy or unholy. It is a name that allows for the possibilities of horny and holy. A name that steps on the path on the leading from acceptance to transcendence. People who understand the name react to it in many different ways. Some laugh and others are offended. Some believe that I’m calling all Swamis, Haramis while others see that I am accepting myself as both a Swami and a Harami. Some see it as an opportunity to point fingers while others recognise it as a pre-emptive strike against the judgment that most Swami’s are subjected too. At the Kumbh mela my female friends would respond to Sadhu requests to join their circle of disciples with the tongue in cheek reply “we are with Swami Harami”. Soon after these very friends threw a season closing party in Goa and I was randomly handed a flyer with Swami Harami name in the list of DJ’s. That was that and the name stuck. Resistance was and is futile. What’s in a name…a lot more than I imagined. Being called Swami Harami repeatedly, is a constant reminder to explore the seeming dualities of light and dark. A few years of this has led me to the realization that there is no such thing as light and dark. It’s Light OR Dark. For when there is light, there is no longer dark. The Indian media often refuses to print the name Harami. If you see a gig listed with Swami Salami or Swami Harmony, come by, it’s gonna be fun! Music is magic. Music and dance allow for us to transcend our thinking minds. I view Dj’ing as shamanistic activity. Nothing else I have witnessed can uplift so many, simultaneously. The art form is about rhythm, discipline and timing, which are applicable to all aspects of ones life. Essential to the art form is playing the right music for the moment, beyond the boundaries of genre and fables of labels. Sharing music is an extension of my journey in healing.
