With Jungle and Hard Techno influences since 1994, João Carlos began his journey as a DJ in 2000. Playing "Dark” and “Forest” Psychedelic and its nuances since 2002, he is one of the pioneers of this style in Brazil, been involved at the underground brazilian scene evolution.
He's been the only Brazilian representative of indian labels Temple Twisters and Tremors Underground since 2006 and 2007, releasing his first compilation in 2011, entitled "Swamp Fever". By 2014, he was again the first brazilian to be invited to the DJ roster and then as south-american label manager by Forestdelic Records (Slovenia), where he will release his second compilation, the “Tropical Swamp Volume I” - a dedicated project only to Brazilian Forest producers. Crews like Kundalini Festival, Revolution Festival, Origens Gathering, Blue Beats Festival, Chapora, Dead Tree Productions, Etnica, Cosmos, FOP and he was also DJ resident for Siona, Concept, Pixys, Vibe Solid and many others that can be mentioned in the past or present.
Furthermore, he returned to the path of musical production and remains in the studio, seeking to evolve his sound experiments.
In words, a technical trial: Creating atmospheres that fill spaces and exchanges between internal universes beyond the terrain, driving with hypnotic and strong bass lines, activating feelings that are revealed in the fire dance. Spontaneously freedom is felt in the melodies that as the wind does not always blow gently. His presentations flow like ocean water, where the unpredictability planned cycles, paradoxically can not be exactly repeated.
In addition to his Djing activities, acts as event organizer and artist manager, working at many parties and festivals throughout the country. As one of Forest Family's head organizers until October 2014, his most recent creation was the trilogy project "Aranyaka - The Forest Book” that closed his cycle on this crew.
Makunba on every Friday 13th was another very important project that was created by Sutemi and Rafahell, originally designed for Paraná since 2007, but springing additional tour editions in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Portugal.
Currently, he works Zuvuya Festival, Festival Alternativo do Kranti, Grande Familia Festival, Persistrance and Universo Parallelo Festival's (Forest) as artist manager.
He has brought many interesting international artists for events that he curated such as Procs, Encephalopaticys, Zik, Orestis, Polyphonia, Kerosene Club/Flipknot, Will O Wisp, Glosolalia, Megalopsy, DarkWhisper, Goch, Baba Yaga, Seki Kmeki, Paranoiac, Zoolog, AnnoyingNinjas, Battle of the Future Buddhas, Shiva3, Kala, Dhar Mhar, Yudhistira, Stranger, Kokobloko/Darkshire, Taigan Sunset, Time for Slime, Hutti Heita and Whrikk. He also works closely with all the brazilian artists of this genres.
