Personal Manager for Maria Rubia, Maria was the original singer with Fragma Maria sang there massive worldwide hit Every Time You Need Me which charted at number 3 in the UK charts, the Video for Every Time You Need Me is one of the most featured pop Video's still showing on MTV. Ten years on Maria Has signed a Three Album deal with my Label Supreme Dance Records. Maria's new single will be her second hit record which she wrote herself Say It, Say It hit the top 40 in the UK and again charted around the world.
With the demise of her Label, the massive NEO records, owned by the wonderful Eddie Gordon, Say It dropped out of the top 40 because of the lack of product supply, Say It was destined to be Maria Rubia's first UK number 1, during the midweek chart Say It was sitting at the number 1 position
Neo records was put into liquidation by the closure of Strictly Rhythm Records in NY who owed Neo a lot of money, hundreds of thousands of dollars, and even more, they owed Neo the truth about their impending closure, months before the day Eddie Gordon discovered it by accident when he walked into their New York office and found that all the staff had been laid off with only the owner and lawyer still at their desks.
If told before they could have moved Say It to another distributer for repressing and had the orders delivered and Maria would have had her first Number ONE UK hit.
At the same time Neo records had another huge USA hit project by Darude, this could have been moved to another Warner label and kept the whole thing moving forward. Walking back into the sunshine of Broadway, Manhattan, and Eddie knew that day, that all their hard work for 4 years was to be brought to an unthinkable end. Within 5 months the decision to close Neo was taken starting a three year process of legal nonsense.
We have now re recorded Say It and are busy pushing Jaba Vocal Dub Mix, this mix, a nice slab of progressive House has been well received in America, and is picking up loads of radio play across America, the full mixes are about to be released throughout the world on promo, .
Maria's next track was the Danish / Swedish Big brother official theme Tune, Forever and a day. We have already re recorded Forever and a day and will be releasing new promo’s TBC 2012.
Forever and a day was only released in Denmark and Sweden by Virgin records but has become a cult dance tune classic and well sort after on You Tube. We have responded to the many thousand requests we have received here at Supreme to release Forever and a day
Maria’s follow up single was the massive Trance cover of Here Come the Rain Again, this is one of the most sort out Trance tracks on the planet, Maria delivers her classic Angelic vocal again, washing across the mix, again we have re recorded here Comes the Rain Again and will be including this on her new Album which will be released in 2012
Maria Rubia’s tracks have been included on hundreds of music compilations around the world and has sold around FIVE Million records to date including singles; one of the most sold was the Fragma Album Toca.
Maria had to leave the music business for a few years after the birth of her son Brandon, giving birth would put her in a wheelchair. An X-Ray revealed that her pubic bone had split apart during childbirth. Maria was diagnosed with an extreme case of Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction, also her pelvis had split, and It would take 13 months for her to take her first steps again.
