Sun Boulevard Bucharest Sun Boulevard is a fresh, sunny indie rock band from Bucharest, Romania, that started out as a project of guitarist Adrian Ursu and lead singer Laur Dragan, brought together by their similar music taste and the fact that both were from the same hometown. Over the past 2 years the project evolved into a 3-piece rock band, drummer Ovidiu Trandafir joining them. Their sound is a mix between the alternative of the 90s, with some old school influences in the guitar area, and a number of current elements taken from other genres, all brought together in lively, catchy tracks. Their indie power comes from solid guitar riffs, skilled drumms and a voice that passes easily from summery, lively lead lines ( Portret ) to more chilled and soft vibes ( In the Fray ) or to darker undertones ( Mysterious Dame), never letting the listener to get bored. So far, the band has nine songs in English, and this year they've started working on a new album, entirely in Romanian. The songs are quite unconventional and different to each other, each has its own entity, passing from light hearted themes to more darker ones ( looking within to find your real self- Portrait, escaping constraints and give up prejudices - Break the Chains, the feeling of freedom and exuberance - King of Anywhere, overcoming a difficult moment - Zbor), keeping however a stylistic coherence. The band has already played in quite a few regional shows, 2017 bringing them festival appearances over the summer and radio airplay.
