Simon became Stumblie in 'the embers of the 20thC, after 1st attempting 'Cardancing'in 1994; that was then, this is now however & the whole Nu-Millenium, is rushing ahead, like a steam train & already it is 2013 .Herewith a Mega Selection of Reggae.Techno, good New Deep House & House & touch of D&B music, which I came about & have been listening to since becoming 'Stumblie'. What began as Disco & assorted 'fluffy' Breakbeats which morphed into 'House' music, mainly in select clubs, this shortly became known as 'Acidhouse' &.saw the start of all-nite Warehouse partiesin 1988, which opened the way for what was to come; In the UK 'Rave' came out of Coventry, almost exclusively to begin, it seemed (to a resident of Hillfields, Coventry, England, as I was at the time ie. 1989/90; the 'pinnacle' years of the 'Rave'' movement, with the 'Eclipse' all night club in Hillfields & the notorious, infamous Vauxhall Tavern close by, which acted as a pre club warm up at the weekends , which 'incorporated Hardcore/Breakbeat/D+B & the fledgling 'Progressivehouse' scene which came to prominence in the mid to late 90's( thusly forming what became known as 'Trance' at the End of the Nineties) . 1992 saw the Emergence ina Big Way of Free Parties, with Firstly 2 Free Festivals; the 1st at Lechlade, Oxfordshire, with 'only' a Few Thousand people, then came the Castlemorton Free, in the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire, which attracted round about 25000 people, coming to Party to various different Free Party Movements, all known for different, revolutionary ways of expanding this nu- Technologically inspired sound/phenomonen, into something that would make a mark on the Youth & generally people at large, & wot was to emerge & soon make the goverment believe could, nay, would be a threat, * amongst others 'CircusWarp', 'Digs&Woosh/SimonDK, DiY & SpiralTribe, who became known for 'Geurilla' occupation of Empty or Squatted Sites & starting Partys;& were actually accused & charged under the civil order & affray act of this unfust system; . Well 1994 saw the end of regular Free Site or Squat Partys, with the 'Criminal Justice Bill for 1994 outlawing these partys, by preventing unaothorised gatherings with music of any kind. The Nu-Millenium saw SpiralTribe, taking their act to Australia, where with so much country, they could find places to Party without annoying people. The opening of the Nu-Century saw the arrival of deephouse & the constant forward movement of this thing, from its Underground inception in the 1980s, seeing the once purely party based beginning, develop with the Nu-Millenium into the musc U have in front of you. This music stretches from Australia, Melbourne to the Russian federation inc. St Petersburg, then continueing west, through Berlin & the now Unified Gemany, keeping on through to Manchester & London there being both 'Homes' for House music/the Sound of the Underground & through the British Isles & Scotland, where acts such as 'Slam' came out of Glasgow '100Years' ago & still move on into the Nu-Millenium, along with acts such as Julius Funkhouser; then we carry on West to the East coast U.S, where amongst others, Q-BurnsAbstract Message is from Orlando, Florida ,Joey Beltram, came out of New York making a real 'mark with his 'ENERGY FLASH, just in time to collide with the 'fledgling' 'Rave' scene in the U.K, across the country to Canada, with their Igloofest & down the West Coast, U.S to San\Francisco & California, where they have successfully produced their own take on Underground dance music, with the Hardkiss 'brothers'in the 20thC & 21stC & Buckner & the RocketCollective hailing from SanFrancisco, amongst many others, coming to prominence in the Nu-Millenium in the U.S & Canada. This Nu-Millenium has seen the Underground music, move towards what has become known as Deephouse, with notable exponents such, Kevin Griffiths & 'Tsuba, from London & 'Moodymanc, Manchester (suprisingly!) and various other players U will hear over these following pages of musicians, taking this breakbeat, we have into its next future metamorphisis.'Nightmares in Wax' & other such music, would fall into being calling wot became known as 'Triphop' & fell always far ahead of their time, firstly their use in a lot of the early Rave tracks & then movement into melodic Synth/Strings/SweetVocal/Rap combination then & being able to trace their rootz back to the 1970/80s. In later years they were innovators of the 'new' Triphop sound/genre
Let the Musicians U have before you, 'Talk their Own Talk' & get known & appreciated. May they 'Keep on Keeping on', this can only get bigger & more diverse as the years, decades & eventually centurys pass.......
