Stroef is an Amsterdam based techno dj and producer. Primary influences are Jeff Mills' legendary Tokyo Liquidroom 1995 set and Surgeon's 'Force + Form' album. Later on harder techno sets like High Heel Techno by Dylan Drazen but also his more deep house oriented sets like 'Carry on' and 'Caught in The Act'. It showed him he wanted to play different kinds of techno, from Detroit to dub techno and electro. In 2002 he bought his first two decks and since 2005 he has been mixing with three turntables ever since. His mixing style can be described as fast and progressive: often starting out slow and ending harder. He always tries to tell his listeners a story. He was also Question clubnight (R.I.P.) resident and and fellow organiser.
