Storman is the DJ alias of Andrew Norman, born in Somerset West, South Africa.
In 1999 he got introduced to Hard House by a close friend and learnt to beat mix on vinyl decks. He proceeded to play in Hard House clubs alongside his friend like Unity, Pure and Gallery in Cape Town. Early influences included labels like Tidy Trax, Nukleus, 12" Thumpers, Tripoli Trax, Shock Records, Frantic, Euphoria with artists like Andy Farley, Superfast Oz, Anne Savage, Pete Wardman, Nick Sentience, BK, etc.
In 2003 he made the switch to the PsyTrance genre, being influenced by artists like Eskimo, Shift, Slug, Damage, Artifakt, Xerox and Illumination, etc. In 2005 he started a Trance Promotions company and label called Shizzle. Artists and producers like Abomination, Brethren, Hydraglyph, Damage, Deliriant, Shift, Slug, Multistate, Twisted System, Pitchikers, etc have performed for Shizzle on numerous occasions to name but a few.
In 2009 Storman was drafted as the first South African DJ into the Nexus Media ranks. He has since played across South Africa and has helped with the management of this famous record label. Storman is also one of the founding members of the Zone Festival.
