Still And Still Moving Eyebrow Bristol STILL AND STILL MOVING Still And Still Moving is a 'walking soundtrack', composed and performed by Eyebrow, for b-side multi-media festival 2012, to accompany a walk along the Rodwell Trail in Dorset, UK. The walk begins at Henry VIII's ruined Sandsfoot Castle, just outside Weymouth, and follows a disused railway-line on to the austere causeway between Chesil Bank and Portland Harbour. Eyebrow are Paul Wigens (drums, percussion, voice, violin) and Pete Judge (trumpet, tenor horn, tuba, electronics). Paul has worked with jazz-punk legends Blurt, as well as Grand Drive, The Blue Aeroplanes and many others. Pete is trumpeter with BBC Jazz Award winners Get The Blessing, and with multi-instrumentalists Three Cane Whale. See www.soundcloud.com/eyebrowband You are welcome to download all five sections of Still And Still Moving for free. It is best heard on headphones whilst you follow the easy but very rewarding 3-mile walk between Sandsfoot and Portland Castles. Track timings approximate to an average walking-pace; feel free to scurry, dawdle or pause accordingly. This is a remarkable route, with stunning views of the Jurassic Coast, and multiple layers of recent and distant history in evidence. We hope you enjoy the additional layers provided by our soundtrack, with its hypnotic rhythms and circling melodies, all inspired by the landscapes you’re walking through. The short 'Prelude' (for solo drums and birdsong) will take you from the ruins of 'Sandsfoot' (grid reference SY67487739) through the castle gardens to the disused railway line of the Rodwell Trail. 'Rodwell' then takes you along the line itself, past suburban gardens and hedgerows, as well as the wide vistas of Portland Harbour, to the remains of the Whitehead Torpedo Factory (grid reference SY694743). 'Torpedo' takes you round the corner of this walk's dog-leg, through Ferrybridge and onto the causeway. From here, 'Causeway' follows an obvious waterside path in the direction of the isle of Portland. As you approach Osprey Quay, the track Portland will accompany you past the National Sailing Academy and through the maze of recent developments to Portland Castle (SY68457435).
