The puppet theatre piece “The Monkey King” was performed by renowned puppeteer, Jean-Luc Penso (Théâtre du Petit Miroir), and Lucie Cunningham. Can you imagine Max and Moritz endowed with powerful magical powers? This is the case of the Monkey King. This famous Chinese character known to many in cartoons and video games, Sunwukong or Son Goku, wants to take the King’s place at the Heavenly Palace.
