Powernap is my primary moniker. I have been making music since 2005 and I mostly focus on the Ambient Techno, IDM, Dark Ambient, Industrial and EBM genres. Some of my larger influences include The Future Sound of London/Amorphous Androgynous, Boards of Canada, Nine Inch Nails, Throbbing Gristle and Telefon Tel Aviv. That said, genres are pretty stupid and I'm probably influenced by something else every single day. I feel music should have merit and variation to it just as much as it should sound good. I also believe that artists who write bios about their band where they incessantly use egotistical adjectives that don't apply to show the world just how much unwarranted self-importance they have are pretentious dickheads (i.e "x uses nostalgic and wonderfully crafted audio aesthetics to create a cohesive, brilliant soundscape reminiscent of childhood and spoiled milk").
