It's a 7 minute symphonic poem. Hour long symphonies are too long for today's generation in my opinion so I made a really short through-composed symphonic poem or more of an enigma in this case. The composition doesn't have repetitions which means it's through-composed. (chords can repeat but not in patterns). It's a lot more work because you get into the hundred or more chord progressions and you have to do that for every track as well. The volume is supposed to be lower than the average song. Songs like this (from classical to soundtrack) need to have a wider dynamic range because the difference between the highest and lowest volume matters way more. Also, you'll notice the second part has a lower volume. that part is mezzo-piano for a reason. it's a staple of this genre to move between double piano, piano, mezzo-piano, mezzo-forte, forte, and double forte. these things matter almost as much as the composition. The chord progression is supposed to tell a story so it has to travel between quieter and louder in a dynamic way.
