StantonBlog.com Podcast Kevin Harper Meridian The authoritarian church that is the subject of this Stanton Blog Podcast was the result of a church split originated by Merie Weiss, who was “withdrawn from” by East San Diego Church of Christ in 1958 for sowing seeds of discord and causing division. She became very good at that throughout the rest of her life. I call it the “Stanton Church of Christ” only because the Stanton congregation is where I grew up. It was the first “church plant” of Spring Valley, started by my parents at the urging of Merie about the time I was born. I hope that learning about the divisive history and teachings of this sect will help readers recover (or discover) a relationship with a loving God. God bless!
