Spitzin Aleksandr Spitzin Vilnius In few hours with Alexander Spitzin, controlling knobs and faders behind the decks, you are going to travel the world and back. Passionate traveler himself, Spitzin takes you on timeless journey through the sounds of South American pueblos via sunny Carribean beaches, crazy Balkan weddings, Israel kibbutzim and elsewhere – all of these are spiced with modern rhythms and makes heads swing and feet move. Spitzin was born in Vilnius, Lithuania, but have traveled the world and the seven seas since then. For more than 10 years Spitzin is digging and spinning groovy melodies as colorful as himself. His debut night was at Pump Up The 90s party, where he had expressed nostalgia for the techno sound of early 90’s. Later on Spitzin started to juggle various Soviet music gems. Many of them were soundtracks of... cartoons – this way it was easier to mislead Soviet censorship and introduce modern music. No wonder that Spitzin (btw, grown up still in Soviet Union) has got a nickname Cartoon DJ. In few years he developed organic mix of electro swing, swing hop, dancing jazz and similar. In 2017 Spitzin and Marulis from Baltic Balkan band founded a StumkTrauk duo, inspired by the themed bummel parties in Germany and slow vibes elsewhere in Europe. They believe there is still more in world music to find and expanded their slow global beats record collections with even more digital cumbia, tropical bass, ketapop, bummel techno, oriental and organic tropical sound. As if it were not enough, Urban Dictionary's definition of Spitzin is: to be extremely attractive. While his avatar at Lithuanian DJ database was Chewbacca of Star Wars. Well, it's a matter of taste.
