Their music is a high energy dance party one second, and a headbanging mosh pit the next with their fans losing their S*** on cue. They have it all; insightful, catchy songwriting, ripping guitar solos, unforgiving slap bass, and explosive percussion. Think the classics, like The Beatles and Led Zeppelin mixed with The Smashing Pumpkins with a hint of early Red Hot Chili Peppers and Primus, and everything in between. Spirits Republic have always been DIY and they operate on their own terms. From merch to music videos, they make them by hand. When they want to play a last minute show, they find a house venue and pack it wall to wall. Online, they are consistently coming out with tongue and cheek social media content that turns heads. There really isn’t much that is off limits these days and they have no signs of slowing. The three-piece came together in the summer of 2016, and quickly began working on original music that would be included on their debut album, “Hourglass.” A hard hitting and diverse album that defined the band’s sound, expertly fusing elements of alternative rock, funk, psychedelia with hard hitting and abrupt musical breakdowns.
