I grew up with computers all around me as often as possible... memories of loading games to see graphics and hear sounds more than actually playing games was my thing... doing homework to the high score music or pausing and allowing C64 theme songs to play looped..... good old times of the mid 80s... I started writing chiptune music on Gameboys using original Gameboy and early versions of Nanoloop in 2007. In early 2013, I started using the Gameboy SP and version 2.6 of Nanoloop. This is the current audio tool of choice, its so robust and versatile, as is the hardware. However, I do write on an AKAI MPC1000 as well as the VXXY DCM8 drum machine... Also the commodore 64 (although I have had bad luck with the c64 hardware !!! , and have already destroyed 3 SID chips..., so may have tunes to air from that platform sometime soon) I LOVE 8-BIT PURE SOUNDS, whether emulated or direct from chips and I love to play LIVE sequencing journeys on the gameboy. I also run www.micro-rave.org events and hire-outs for specific hilarious installations... in particular the ROBOT INVASION and the ARCADE ZONE !!!
