Spag Ruckus Spag Ruckus is a musical project by Matheo de Bruvisso (alias Thomas Desbouvrie) Thomas is one of the three founding members of Dirtyphonics, a world-renowned group that has been turning up dancefloors since 2004 with its hyper-energetic bass music. After performing at the biggest festivals on the planet, and collaborating with high profile artists such as Skrillex, Marilyn Manson, Linkin Park, Benny Bennassi, Steve Aoki and The Bloody Beetroots, Thomas left the group to take on new artistic challenges. In 2022, he immersed himself in modular synthesis and advanced on new musical paths. More experimental, freer but always inspired by drum and bass, deep dubstep and electro. Thomas’ enthusiasm was so great that it gave birth to a new project: Spag Ruckus. Hyper-creative and off the beaten track, Spag Ruckus offers music that is unclassifiable, innovative, accepting of its imperfections, its strangeness and its unformatted structures. Taking an avant-garde approach, Spag Ruckus caters to the sonically adventurous and open minded listener interested in new sounds. The limitless capabilities of the modular space combined with Thomas’ genre-free attitude gives Spag Ruckus the potential to constantly reinvent itself in new directions, which fits in with its ethos as an unpredictable artist traversing unexplored musical terrain. The first Spag Ruckus album is due in 2023.
