To inaugurate South Fork Sound Vinyl, kuxxan SUUM returns, this time with life long friend MC Doodoo, for a pair of dusty club percussion tracks. With A Side "The Drip", the Black Mountain, North Carolina based producer lays a dribbling foley rhythm that flows in and out of hypnotic shuffles. MC Doodoo’s vocal finds space to support the beat without featuring above it. On the B Side, “Stay Reminded” serves as a long form club burner, where kuxxan SUUM’s particular sense of rhythm provides a cavorting strut for Doodoo’s fried out voicing. Label stalwart Sclist is on remix duty. The Leeds based producer provides an overcast take on “The Drip”, adding surging subbass while stripping back the vocal to a scarce accent of indiscernible chants. Dark & brooding sound system music as you’ve come to expect.
