Sophia Gonzon
Boca Raton
Sophia Gonzon born June 27th 2002 (20 years old) is an American singer and songwriter, of Italian descent currently based in Boca Raton, Florida. She began her music career in November 2018 intended as music therapy. It was shortly after the last bullying incident she endured freshman year in high school believed by doctor's to have brought on her daily chronic migraines, fibromyalgia and PTSD. Sophia was only 15 years old at the time when her first single ever recorded song “Daddy Issues” (anti bullying song) released on January 21, 2019. Within the first two months of the release, her song gained 100K+ streams on Spotify, now over 1.2M organically.
On June 26 she released ‘ENOUGH’, a powerful anti violence song recorded in LA with Chris Hoyle, Katie Cherry, and mixmaster engineer, Narek Ambar ( who's credits are endless) http://narekambar.com/(no really check out his website). While out in LA she also recorded a beautiful cover or remake of Ariana Grande’s “One Last Time” as well as filmed a full length mini movie music video with Actor/influencer/director Alex Lange. During this time she quickly became a prepared soul driven18 year old pop Artist ready to make her mark in the industry.
Sophia’s song XYZ, released on September 25th with an upbeat R&B, Pop, dance vibe and break up anthem,(”XYZ You Later”) encouraging others to know its okay to exit a toxic relationship. The song was recorded at Bay Eight Studios with vocal coach/producer Anita Faye Wilson (who has worked with artists such as Whitney Houston and Gloria Estefan, and many more) along with insanely talented, gifted music group Plyback. Sophia fell in love with XYZ the moment she heard it and was given the opportunity to add a lyric and Bridge allowing her to feel more connected to the song (PLYBCK’s credits are Lil Wayne, Kodak Black,YFN Lucci, Flo Rida,Trina, Slightly Stooped, Farruko, Miky Woodz, and more.)
Sophia’s “Dancing With The Devil” released February 26th 2021. It was created with Singer/songwriter, Ryan Curtis (signed to Kobalt) and Producer, Cesar-Da Emperor. Cesar, is signed with Create Music Group, and managed by Dre London, who also manages Post Malone, Tyga, Tyla Yahweh and more. She was the first artist to record at Create Music Group’s new massive facility in LA. There are definite plans to work on more songs with this awesome crazy talented team coming up soon.
On June 18th with very little pre-release time Sophia released “No Game”. Sophia is currently working with mentor/vocal coach Zipporah Haze. She has also hooked up with WorldScout.Me ‘s Director, A&R Scout/ producer Rob Burrell. They are working on a song along with Jayson KoKo Bridges and Gary Baker.
Last and far from least, Felipe Silva, lead guitarist, writer, and recording engineer, along with front man, guitarist, and writer Damien Douleur, of their newly formed band, L’Exquisite Douleur recently reached out to Sophia offering their music expertise to help with her overall career as well as new music. L’Exquisite Douleur is a mosh pit crowd pleasing, fiercely growing cult followed Emo Rock Band who’ve been recently burning up the Broward County Fl and surrounding South FL Rock Scene. Their emotionally expressive lyrics screaming of confessions, raging guitar riffs, and emphatic drums symphonically executed on point make it hard to believe they haven’t been rocking out in garages together since their middle school days. Damien writes, and also plays with Poorstacy as well as other artists and bands, while Felipe is currently working on new material with well known Artists we can't mention yet and has has credits with Lul Patchy, and other South Fl Artists and bands. The new relationship arrives just in time to feed Sophia’s longtime desire to record songs with real live instruments and a Rock, Punk, and or alternative vibe. The 3 Artists instantly hit it off upon meeting and have been cooking up new songs in Sophia’s new home studio.
Along with working on several new songs.
