Clarjutsu by tfcomposer published on 2013/05/10 00:31:09 +0000 Clarjutsu, or the art of clarinet, is a suspenseful clarinet solo with electronics inspired by the mysterious ninjas of medieval Japan. These warrior-assassins would use any method(s) needed to perform their mission, whatever that meant. Sometimes that would require going undercover and other times a more straight forward approach of brute force would be necessary. In the same way this piece at times is quite subtle and mysterious, and at other times it is quite powerful and technically difficult. There’s also a ninjutsu-inspired surprise about halfway through the piece. The electronics in this piece are really easy to set up. All the player needs to do is set up a metronome with one ear bud in one ear. Near the beginning of the piece there are instructions on when to start the metronome to insure that the player plays in time with the electronics.
