Storm (Something Memorable) by Something Memorable published on 2012/10/14 12:59:19 +0000 I did not sit down and think let's write a song that's bleak. I didn't. I just wanted something simple and raw and basic that would be a bit of a contrast from the last few songs I've made. Where this came from only the demons know. This may not be to everyone's tastes, proceed with caution. The gun in the photo is chocolate... STORM Do you see that sky? Black, red and and bruising, just like my lies. All the things I did, all the things I've done. Come pointing fingers with those clouds at the setting sun. Forgive me, for what I do. I pray angels take me. Before the demons do. Fail once, get back up and be a man. Fail twice, start again with a brand new plan. There's so many to let down, so many people you can hurt. You asked what I'm made of, well God made man from dirt. Forgive me, for what I do, I pray angels take me. Before the demons do. And the rain is falling. Hammer's hard upon my face. And my mouth is dry now. Waiting for this fall from grace. And the metals smooth beneath my fingers. No flaws or scratches snag at me. And its cool against my forehead. Draws out the poison that sickened all that I believed. And the barrel smells of sulphur. I Guess hell ain't that far away And its awkward in my mouth. Bite down those chattering teeth. Make fear go away. God, God protect me. Are you really just a fingers pull away.
