David Abud & Pedro Rios on Mexico Border Repression by Sojourner Truth with Margaret Prescod published on 2018-11-27T18:12:07Z On Sunday, November 25th, US officials fired tear gas at migrants, including women and children attempting to breach the US/Mexico border. Gas canisters and pepper balls were also used, leaving children gasping for breath and traumatized. Trump strongly defended the use of the gas; indeed he lied, saying several border patrol agents were badly injured by the migrants. Tear gas is considered a chemical weapon under international law. Our guests are David Abud with Pueblos Sin Fronteras, who is currently at the US/Mexico border, and Pedro Rios, director of the US-Mexico Border Program at the American Friends Service Committee.
