Sivanesh Sivanesh Pillai A staple in Singapore’s underground clubs for over a decade now, Sivanesh’s sound is held together by equal amounts of groove and soul, and goes beyond current trends in genres. After spending five years learning the intricacies of the live music business while taking charge of the world-renowned main room and playing extended DJ-sets every Sunday night, he leaves behind a successful residency at CÉ LA VI Singapore. Apart from this residency, Sivanesh is a regular fixture at some of the most respected venues in South-East Asia, with frequent dates at The Headquarters and Kilo Lounge in Singapore, as well as being booked for DJ sets at The W Hotel and Iron Fairies in Kuala Lumpur, and Shelter in Phuket. At the end of 2019, together with his partner Lilian Hautemulle, he co-launched Sivilian Affairs, an organization focused on intimate parties with an emphasis on minority local and regional talents. While the rest of 2020 holds many uncertainties for the live music scene, one thing to be sure is that Sivanesh will continue his journey within the dance music scene, staying true to his ethos to surprise and delight.
