Simon Goff Simon Goff is a musician from North-Yorkshire, UK. Currently residing in Berlin, DE. He is a multi-instrumentalist, performer, composer and sound engineer. A multi-genre musician, classically trained as a violinist, he has worked with artists creating string arrangements, albums, sound installations and interactive live dance performances. He has spent the last years exploring how the violin can be manipulated a processed to create a unique sound world that focuses on where acoustic and electronic sounds can meet. He is interested in a sound where both of these merge harmoniously, creating music that can shift from powerful expansive sound-scapes to intimate fragility. This exploration has also lead him to Vox-Ton studio in Berlin, where he works as a sound engineer alongside Francesco Donadello. Donadello’s sensibility for instrumental music and both modern and vintage recording techniques made a Voxton a perfect home for him to establish himself on the Berlin scene. His first project as part of the Vox-Ton team was the recording of Erased Tapes 10 year anniversary record where he performed on tracks by Peter Broderick and Qasim Naqvi. In the past two years he has worked with Dustin O’Halleron, Johann Johannsson, Beirut, Lumbomyr Melnyk and many more. Most recently he recorded Andrea Belfi’s upcoming EP Strata and has become a close collaborator of Federico Albanese.
