A Hen in My Hat / Iâr yn fy Het by Simon Ager published on 2015-05-06T16:15:40Z This is a song I wrote in September / October 2014 for no particular reason. At first I just wanted to incorporate the phrase 'My hovercraft is full of eels' into a song, then I decided to write each verse in a different language: English, French, Welsh, Mandarin Chinese and Irish. This recording was made in November 2018 with harmonies, tenor and baritone ukuleles and shaky egg. (Welsh) A badger and a crow are dozing by the fire and dreaming of cheese sandwiches, and magpies and snails are waffling with lions, and my hovercraft is full of eels. (Mandarin Chinese) There's a camel on the table and a tiger in the study eating choclate. Everywhere there are animals singing songs and dancing, and my hovercraft is full of eels. (Irish) There's a horse in the kitchen and a dog in the garden drinking cups of tea, and there's a pig and a weasel dancing with a bishop, and my hovercraft is full of eels.
