SICKNESSMP 90's Boombap Sound HALF A BLUNT East Java, Pacitan Sicknessmp is a solo producer residing in Pacitan, Indonesia and has been creating jazz, Boombaps, Sample Based, Chillhop & Lo-fi Hiphop music since 2005 used sampler like a Akai mpc 2000, 2000xl, 1000 dan 60MkII. Characterised as “easy, smooth and raw”, Sicknessmp tracks couple elegant beats and piano, Rhodes, Vibraphone and bassline melodies to an array of personally-collected field recordings, his style alternating between promising swells and restful plateaus.Having grown up on a farm on the Pacitan East Java, Sicknessmp is strongly influenced by the ocean beaches and natural openness of his hometown. Sicknessmp releases music independently and, in 2007, played several live shows in Indonesia. Having worked on an array of joint projects with other musicians and visual artists, Sicknessmp is deeply drawn to the layer character of sound and image.
