Shmu has been an avid music lover his whole life, and recently graduated from the 'Lisa Lashes School Of Music' where he tuned this passion for music in to skills on the decks and in the production studio. At the age 16, Shmu and a group of friends formed a sound crew called “Young Blood Foundations”, where he used to MC at the time. This love for grime and rap can still be seen as an influence in the House and Techno he plays today. On April 18th 2019, Shmu was part of the DJ community that collectively smashed the world record for the largest B2B DJ relay. 160 local DJ’S from all walks of life, spun a track each over the course of a whole day, and were mentioned by “Mixmag” and “DJ Mag” for their great effort, as well as earning their place in the “The Guinness Book Of World Records”! Shmu is also currently working with a new wave of DJ's and Producers from Manchester to bring a fresh and exciting new event to the city, which will be announced very soon.
