This is a great one and it particularly resonates with me because I'm a huge advocate for networking. For most people, everything you could ever possibly need is already contained in your network - you just have to be adept at asking for it and getting to the right person who might be one or two steps removed from you. This story is a powerful one in part because it's so vivid - you can just imagine the urgent calls that were made in a somehow controeled chaos environment - the way a healthy organization pulls together in a time of crisis and everyone is of a single mind to get the job done. 2014-08-29T16:58:05Z Comment by CAKogler Thanks, Shawn; a great story that I had not heard before. Again and again, it comes back to the relationships we establish and how we can help each other – both in good times and in times of emergency. On a different note, I continue to marvel at your relaxed style of storytelling and how it holds one’s attention so well. This is definitely something I need to work on. 2014-08-28T18:41:18Z Comment by Ronald van Domburg this is an excellent story.
