Seventrain San Diego Seventrain features former 24-7 Spyz (Atlantic Records) drummer Joel Maitoza, former Cage (Massacre Records) guitarist Eric Horton, guitarist Jef Poremba who previously played with Kofi Baker/6ONE9, former Tourniquet bassist Steve Dino Andino and vocalist Jon Campos previously of Dive Bomber. This blues-based hard rock/metal act hailing from San Diego, California delivers raw, stripped down, in your face rock displaying powerful vocals and soulful harmonies backed by a hard-hitting rhythm section. Influences include Badlands, Audioslave and arena rock bands from the 70s and 80s with a modern, current twist. The bands debut 11 song CD was recorded by engineer Don Lithgow (Blink 182, Finch, New Found Glory) at DML Studios, produced by drummer Joel Maitoza and lovingly tracked in analog on 2 inch tape. Featured tracks include Change and Rays of the Sun as well as the melodic rockers How Does It Feel and Pain which showcase the bands songwriting skills and have been hailed as favorites by critics and mainstream/online radio. The bands self-titled debut album was released on February 14th, 2014 in the US, Europe and Japan on the bands own label imprint (So. Cal Records) distributed by Alliance Entertainment and is currently available on iTunes, Amazon and CD Baby. The album charted on the CMJ Loud Rock Top 40 at #36 it's first week to radio on February 25th, 2014 and has been receiving favorable reviews by critics worldwide in print and online media. Since the albums release, Seventrain has been direct support on select dates with Pat Travers, Michael Schenker, Skid Row, Black Star Riders, Saving Abel, Red Dragon Cartel and Puddle of Mudd in addition to headlining many local venues in Southern California themselves. The debut video for their single Bittersweet Seduction was released on May 15th, 2014 and is gaining momentum on various online media outlets. Their second video for their latest single Broken was recently released on December 24th, 2014. Seventrain was also nominated for Best Hard Rock Album of the Year at the 2014 San Diego Music Awards. Seventrain is currently in the studio working on their next album set for release in the fall of 2015.
