Selfish Needs Selfish Needs Edinburgh Selfish Needs are a four piece Indie Rock band from Edinburgh, Scotland. Originally formed in 2010 the band consists of Danny Lee on vocals and rhythm guitar, Sam McGill on lead guitar, Jake Littlejohn on bass and Hamish McGowan on drums. Shortly after starting, we built a small fan base on Facebook and Twitter through our popular cover versions of songs on Youtube. From there we began writing original music, the first being 'Into The Night', an upbeat indie track which received very good feedback from our small audience. From there we wrote 'Going Home With You' and 'Raincoat', two other tracks following the same suit. Previous gigs include a range of venues around Edinburgh including Studio 24, Cabaret Voltaire, GRV and The Liquid Rooms. Through Creative Scotland's 'Cashback for Creativity’ project we recorded our debut single 'Last Time' at Castlesound and The Depot studios, which was released on iTunes and Spotify last year. Our next release was ‘Doubts’, and acoustic single featuring two tracks, both of which are available for free download on our soundcloud.
