SEKOIA Podcast #013 - Nuno Dos Santos by SEKOIA

There’s experts, and experts. Professionals and professionals. DJ’s and DJ’s. Most of the time, it’s pure dedication that separates the best from the runner up. And when it comes to dedication, we can’t point to a better example than Nuno dos Santos. Living and breathing the music he stands for, Nuno has been working tirelessly for years, becoming one of countries biggest underground names. His residency at TrouwAmsterdam and the recent launch of his very own label SoHaSo only partly prove the high standard he’s reached these days. It’s his sheer musical knowledge that truly proves the love he has for the art of being a DJ.

This knowledge became obvious when we interviewed him for our DJMag article. We got pummeled with anekdotes, tracknames and labels we've never even heard of. He promised to do the same for the SEKOIA Podcast he was going to make. And so he did. Nuno went digging through his vinyl collection, looking for those old gems people should’ve heard all those years ago but didn’t. A special podcast with only vinyl from between 1994 and 2000 is what he came up with. Old school sounds, but with the depth and quality that’s to be expected from a DJ from his stature.

Some personal words as well: "I went through my vinyl collection and made this special mix for Sekoia with tracks from 1994-2000. Had so much pleasure in hearing these forgotten beauties again. For me they still sound timeless. Will post the tracklist soon.. Enjoy!"

We're really honored that he took the time and patience to dig into his vinyl-collection to enlighted us with some oldskool vinyl beauties.
