ELIZABETH POJANOWSKI as Cherubino by Seattle Opera published on 2016-01-20T23:15:10Z American mezzo soprano Elizabeth Pojanowski makes her Seattle Opera debut as Cherubino. In his breathless Act One aria, this hormone-addled teenage boy rambles on and on about the strange sensations he’s experiencing: “I don't know who I am or what I'm doing any more. I'm on fire, then suddenly I turn to ice. Every woman I see makes me blush, every woman makes me tremble. At the word 'love' my heart skips a beat. Some desire I can't explain makes me talk about love non-stop.” Gary Thor Wedow conducts the orchestra of Seattle Opera. Photo by Philip Newton Genre Mozart
