I am an artist and amateur musician, born in 1950, living in Oakland, CA, and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. I started playing guitar at about age 13, playing the folk and "protest" music of people like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Gordon Lightfoot, etc. For many years, I have played, for the most part, music of my own creation, inspired by the likes of John Fahey, Tommy Emmanuel, and especially, Leo Kottke.
A few years ago, when I began recording my music for friends, I invented, for reasons obscure even to me, a pseudonym for my musical self, a "nom de strings", as I like to say. "Slim Jimsøhn" is that fellow's name. He even has his own biography, and a home in Yreka, CA, in the shadow of Mt. Shasta.

Thank you for your interest in my music. I do hope you enjoy it!

Nice portentous lyrics. Sounds like you could use some of my Dandelion Wine ... ;)
Beautiful song; wonderful vocal and lyrics. Reminds me a bit of Tim Buckley.
