SAVAK Brooklyn The band SAVAK (pronounced “saw-vawk”) was formed in 2015 by members of The Obits, Holy Fuck and The Cops. Their influences range from ’60s Texas psychedelia to British pub rock to early-’80s American hardcore, with some Zamrock and Chicha thrown in for good measure. SAVAK connect the dots from The Adverts to Bubble Puppy to The 101ers to MDC, making stops at Chrissy Zebby Tembo and Los Mirlos along the route. “Best of Luck in Future Endeavors,” their 1st album, came out in May 2016 on Comedy Minus One. "Cut-Ups," their 2nd LP, was released in October 2017 via Ernest Jenning Record Co. "Beg Your Pardon," their 3rd and latest full-length, arrived in November 2018, following two 7" singles on Modern City (Lyon, France) and Orangerie (České Budějovice, Czech Republic).
