The Ebb and Flow of Time by David Saulesco published on 2013-03-12T10:32:16Z A contemporary classical piece for string orchestra, minimalist yet romantic. Heavily inspired by the novel "Momo" (also known as "The Grey Gentlemen") by Michael Ende, the leitmotif came to me upon reading in the book that one of the characters whistled a melancholic tune to himself. The rest of the piece grew from that idea and draws from the events in the book, without illustrating any particular scene. Composed by David Saulesco. Performed by the Piteå College of Music chamber strings. Conducted by Helge Kjekshus. Mixed by Joel Löf. Photo by Lena Pautina.
