Hey guys welcome to my soundcloud page!! I have been busy these last few months working away in the studio so I have many projects I am going to be filtering out here! I hope you enjoy my tunes! and now.... here is my bio....which I may need to update...but you get the jist!! :-)
2011 has been another satisfying year of growth and exploration for Sarah Main as her chosen home of Ibiza has continue to provide her with opportunities to take a sophisticated blend of bright and colourful deep house to an adoring audience.
For the 2011 season her main home has been Thursday's "F*ck Me I'm Famous" parties where David and Cathy Guetta have held court to with a run of sell out parties. They didn't have to look any further than Sarah when choosing their resident DJ. Recognising the subtle blend of style and credibility she brings to the occasion they choose to take under their wing for a season that became the hottest ticket on the island.
Elsewhere she continues to max out the air miles with a non stop tour itinerary around the globes most fashionable night spots stopping recently at Dubai, Paris, Cannes, Amsterdam, Brazil, Miami, New York, Thailand, Malaysia, Sydney.
Having played to audiences in over 30 countries, on every continent (except of course Antarctica!), it is clear that Sydney born Sarah - Australia’s number one DJ export - is as much at home behind the decks as she is in her adopted island of Ibiza.
A strong and unwavering passion for house music has informed over her 17 years performing. Whether its a small intimate venue, a major clubbing institution or a big stage on the festival circuit Sarah thrives on her interaction with the crowd, proving night after night that she was literally born to be a DJ. With 10 years of her Pacha residency under her belt and literally thousands of hours playing in what must be one of the worlds most important clubs this talent has been polished and honed under a succession of the world most recognised mentors.
Playing alongside such luminaries as David Morales and Pete Tong has provided the best education available. They have watched her grow into a major talent, supporting her with bookings; David Morales even asked her to play his at his birthday party and Frankie Knuckles has even described her as his favourite female DJ - high praise indeed.
Nominated twice at the Ibiza DJ awards, in 2006 Sarah won the highly coveted title, ‘Best Ibiza DJ'.
When playing at Pacha she is the choice pick of many of the weekly famous guests including Pete Tong, the SHM and David Guetta as resident DJ for the night. This has led to her opening the club for brands such as F*ck Me I'm Famous, The Swedish House Mafia, Def Mix, Eric Morillo, Pure Pacha & Subliminal in a ten year whirlwind of parties, music, fashion and friendships.
Outside of the nightclub Sarah is a technically gifted producer with a string of releases under her belt, international ambassador for Pacha Ibiza and chosen representative for a brace of DJ equipment manufacturers. As a Pacha resident for over 10 years she has mixed countless Pacha compilations alongside industry heavyweights such as Pete Tong and Goldfish.
She is also a spokesperson for Pioneer, featuring in their print and online advertising campaigns and was selected by Ministry Of Sound TV to present the ‘How To DJ Series’. This led to her hosting her own three hour music show on Flaunt TV, and also presenting an Ibiza TV show for Yamabooki TV.
This year has also seen her become the international ambassador and judge for EMI Australia's nation-wide search to find the next hot female talent in the "SHE CAN DJ" competition. She also loves presenting on radio and her 'Mainroom' show is heard globally on countless FM stations and is also the first dance show to be commissioned by Emirates airlines for their inflight entertainment.
Sarah believes there are no limits to what she can achieve and where her career can take her. With an action-packed year ahead including intensive studio time, a busy touring schedule, and a new TV show in the works she is one busy Lady! ….
‘Anything that comes my way, bring it on!’ she says.
