Classical Creations Do you consider yourself to be a Contemporary Classical Composer? If so, this is the group for you.... classical Classical Music There are many experimental classical music groups on SoundCloud. However, many of these groups are laden with original compositions. I would argue that the great classical composers allowed for infinite experimentation within their own works. This group is a place where people can come to listen to more traditional classical music. Contemporary Classical Composers A forum for composers, performers and lovers of 20th and 21st century classical music by contemporary composers whose art has not been compromised by crass commercialism and who have not succumbed to the temptations of the 'Great Mammon'. It is also for those who believe that 'art for art's sake' (ars gratia artis) trumps all other considerations in life — and in music. This group is for music in the Western Classical tradition from the 20th and 21st century. If your music is not in a recognisable style from the classical tradition, please do not submit it to the group. Well-crafted and interesting contemporary music (i.e. by living composers) emulating styles from a century prior to the 20th, are welcomed. Please submit music in the glorious classical tradition and its great late flowering between the years 1900 and 1910 with the addition of those pioneering masters of the early 20th century who 'pushed the envelope' while staying within the integrity of the tradition. See the Drop Box note for a few composers who qualify.
