sandmoon Beirut sandmoon is an indie pop/folk band originating from Beirut, Lebanon. Initiated by singer/songwriter Sandra Arslanian, the band has gone through periodical changes in its formation – a little like the immutable sand would be surrounded by a changing moon. It was initially formed in 2010 & released a first demo-album locally, raW. In 2013, the band was revamped & a second album was released in Autumn 2013 - Home, featuring their single Home, which received wide acclaim and heavy radio airplay in Lebanon. A new indie-pop EP #InTheEnd was released in Summer 2016 and received extensive coverage in the regional media. Their singles from both the album and the EP were accompanied by singular video clips that equally caught the audience’s attention. sandmoon has played the local circuit and festivals and went on a mini European tour (Stockholm, Brussels, Paris) as an acoustic duo. In 2016, the band also wrote and performed the original soundtrack to prominent Lebanese director, Philippe Aractingi’s feature film ‘Listen’, which received the Award for Best Soundtrack at the Lebanese Movie Awards 2017. sandmoon is releasing a new mini-EP produced and mixed by renowned producer Victor Van Vugt (Nick Cave, Depeche Mode, PJ Harvey…). sandmoon’s playlists #InTheEnd EP by sandmoon published on 2017-12-06T22:39:08Z Home Album (sample) by sandmoon published on 2017-12-06T22:35:42Z
