Ryan Summers Marshfield, WI Ryan Summers has produced music under various projects for almost two decades. As of 2017 he began composing ambient music under his own name. Through this work, he explores soundscapes both alien and organic – the uncomfortable and the comforting. His approach to production involves re-amping digital synths in real space or through various lo-fi tech. A touch of micro-tonal experimentation may also interest the avant-garde aficionado. Tending towards the hypnotic, his work is designed to elicit subtle emotional states. Some of his influences include Aphex Twin, Loscil, Grouper, Tim Hecker, Steve Roach, Mark Prichard, Robert Rich, Brian Eno, and La Monte Young.
